What can we say about Magikarp? Named Koikingu in Japanese, it's a water Pokémon who is mostly known amongst the fans for flailing and splashing around. If you have played Pokémon or watched the anime, you know what I mean by this.
Everyone thinks Magikarp is a weak and worthless Pokémon (and they are mostly right), at first you won't be able to do much with it. Just Splash around and that won't do any damage at all. Once you train your Magikarp to level 15, it learns Tackle and you can finally start doing some damage to rivals.
I like to take on the challenge of training Magikarp and taking care after them myself! It made me wonder a lot when I was a kid, "why is this Pokémon splashing around but not damaging others?", "If I keep doing this, will something mysterious and magical happen?". Nope, nothing happened at all. But if Magikarp taught us one thing, it's this: if you keep at it, you will finally evolve into a ginormous monster called Gyarados and pwn everyone in their faces.

I know, my information on Magikarp is a tad bit weird and scarce. But I thought this video would help you understand more the lore of Magikarp and why there's a love/hate relationship with it:

The fanlisting

According to "A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans."

Why Magikarp?

I don't even know why anyone would ask me this question to be honest! What's there not to love about Magikarp? It's amazingly weak and useless, it can jump so high that it can climb up a mountain, it even has it's own mobile game! (which I'm admittedly addicted to as I'm writing this). Magikarp has always been there for us. Whether you paid 500P to buy one from an old man or just caught it while fishing for the first or tenth time, you know it's vacant eyes captured your love at first sight. I'm digressing. Magikarp is cool! ♥

Site & layout

You are currently viewing version 1 of Splash. I'm keeping it simple but I wanted this design to have Magikarp vibes, that's why I used this pattern from from Patterncooler and, as usual, the Magikarp image came from a google search.
